Liberty Street, set back from waterfront in Newburgh, has seen a lot of change in the last couple of years. With so much to offer, it’s definitely worth a visit.

Mama Roux, facing Liberty Street on Broadway serves “Southern Cuisine meets Country French” food inside their Art Deco interior or out on their beautifully lit spacious heated patio. (If you are there on a Sunday you can catch live music!)
Head South on Liberty and you have your pick of sustanance from the comfort bar grub and craft beer at The Wherehouse to the French American food and instagram worthy cocktail options at Ms. Fairfax to the New American and inventive meals at Liberty Street Bistro. If you aren't looking for sit down experience you can pick up some artisanal bread, pastries, and coffee at Newburgh Flour Shop. In the evening grab a drink at Mar De Copas.
(Mama Roux and Liberty Street Bistro are currently closed for the season, and Ms. Fairfax is take out only for now, but they are looking forward to resuming regular hours early in 2021.)
After grabbing a baked good head next door to Field Trip for high quality, handmade, American made clothing, home goods, apothecary and more. They even offer their own line of plant based skincare, Hudson Naturals.
Wanna find an incredible outfit at an awesome price? Maybe the perfect party outfit for when gathering is allowed again? Cream Boutique was voted, “Best Current Fashion for a Great Value” by Hudson Valley Magazine. They have a selection of both stylish new and high end consignment feminine clothes and accessories to choose from. (Fun fact, founder Amal Ishak can be found on the cover of the next Hudson Valley Style Magazine.)
Men's lifestyle boutiques are hard to find and Liberty Street has it's own 900 square foot shop dedicated to it! M. Lewis Lifestyle Boutique sells clothing, accessories, personal care items, and unique home goods.
Oliver and Chatfield is a small shop with a big selection of quirky home goods, bath and body products, bar accoutrements, and sustainable products for the home. They offer local delivery and of course shipping for online orders.
Liberty Street even has its own Interior Design company, Hendley and Co., but if you don't need a full house renovation you can stop by and pick up a table runner, a desk lamp, a throw pillow, etc. Why not treat yourself and your house? ;)
If you are a wine drinker, check out Palate Wines and Spirits. You can also order ahead and pick up your bottle, or two, without spending time inside.
